The first 2 days were spent studying online test. Very few of the questions were on the actual test.

I passed all written tests because I studied and highlighted the CDL manual. The classroom videos were very outdated and material was nonsense as far as actual knowledge about a truck driving career. People were given grants, fell behind schedule no shows, late for class etc and given answer sheets to tests to keep the grant money flowing. The driving was very disorganized and not enough backing.

Study the manual and you will pass the written tests. I was a complete rookie and passed the driving test the first time. Sage payed for the exams and dot physical.

They have influence enough to get you inline faster than if you walked in off the street and I know have a CDL. If you have access to a tractor-trailer and some help and study the manual you will save alot of time and money.

Product or Service Mentioned: Sage Truck Driving Schools Course.

I thought the practice CDL tests SAGE had were excellent and prepared me for the state test. SAGE is a state CDL tester for skills, and the instructors have great tips and guidance.

They focus on what you need. But studying the CDL manual is important to learn, especially the pre-trip.

You have a lot to memorize so you should practice and practice. Out of the 20 or so students with me, most are passing and all have jobs with Werner, May or other companies.
